Moderating Comments Makes You a Pussy and a Communist, But Mainly Just a Pussy

There’s a lot of blogs out there that like to moderate comments. Most of the time, these blogs will let you know, “Hey, I’m just warning you, I will moderate your comment if you say something negative.”

These blogs may even give you reasons why they choose to moderate your comments.

- “I don’t want any negative discussions.”

- “I’d rather focus on positives of the subject matter.”

-  “If you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything at all.”

- I just came back from the beach, and my vagina is literally FILLED with sand!”

Let me put this gently. If you take the time to moderate comments, then you are a giant vagina and a communist…oh wait a second, that’s my title. I don’t really have to repeat myself do I?

What the fuck is wrong with a negative comment? If someone wants to say, “Hey, your ideas suck and you’re a fucking fuckhead,” then who are you to say they can’t?

“It’s my blog I say what can be said. People shouldn’t act like jerks, that just makes them immature.”

No, you’re just a pissy little bitch who can’t take criticism, and that’s honestly all it really comes down to.

Fear.

You’re afraid that you’re not going to be able to respond to anything that’s said to you. You can’t take the heat, so you close the kitchen. That’s not how you become a world class chef.

“But what if I get hundreds of comments that are just people hating on me for no reason?”

Well, then you should retort and make them all look foolish. Or if you can’t then you should probably get the fuck out of blogging because it means you suck at it. Only communists oppress comments or opinions of people they don’t like, and when you moderate or delete comments saying something along the lines of, “Hey, your site’s a piece of shit and you’re a faggot,” then you’re being an idiot, because it’s really easy to make people like this look stupid. Not only is it easy, but it’s also really really fun to do. Heck, I’ve written whole posts dedicated to ripping new assholes to people who write stupid comments. It’s a very good way to relieve stress.

Here’s where I come in.

Being an ISSS, Eye Sedso kicks ass, and has an awesome comment policy of: Say whatever the fuck you want. I won’t change it, and I’ll put it up. However, if you can say whatever you want, then I can do the same, and I will not hesitate to tear an asshole in the side of your face.

This post seems angry, and it’s because I read some site policy and it reminded me how much I hate comment policies that don’t allow certain comments.

Pussy shit.

  1. “Only communists oppress comments or opinions of people they don’t like”

The MPAA, RIAA, and US Congress are all uniquely capitalist organizations. At least marxist-leninists (the only communists you have ever been exposed to) only censor information inside their own borders. Your ass-hat organizations are trying to impose their fucking censorship legislation (SOPA, PIPA, CISPA) on the whole world.

Also, the US Republican party exemplifies everything that is terrible about capitalism, and considering the fact that they are so insanely influential in US politics, it amazes me that more Americans like you are not communists. You have no idea how brainwashed your population seems to people outside America looking in.

Enjoy the next decade of bought-and-paid-for corporatist politicians; inane, self-destructive culture wars; and all the domestic strife that accompanies the decline of an empire. The rest of us will be busy learning Mandarin.

Also, do not tell me what to do you fucking communist. I will moderate my blog if I want to.

    • Actually, most people in America (at least me) generally do not like the government, but we’re all too lazy to do anything about it. I could care less if the government imploded tomorrow. This country and every other country sucks. Communism might actually be the way to go to be honest (as long as it’s done in the way that it was initially intended). I should just be named dictator, I think I’d actually be an awesome leader.

I think America’s biggest issues are bitching about everything, trying to keep marijuana & prostitution illegal (clearly not gonna work, might as well regulate it. Lowers crime (taxes spent on jails) and increases the economy plus you don’t have to take a loss for all of the money that goes into attempting to fight the war on marijuana/prostitution), and being fat, lazy assholes.

My opinion is that our government is a joke, but so is every other government. They all suck and that’s always going to be how it is.

I never told you what to do. I simply said that if you do moderate comments, then you are a pussy.

  2. If you’re saying that people shouldn’t try to filter out negative comments and hide them, then I would be inclined to agree to an extent. If you’re saying that we should just let any comment fly without moderation, then I don’t agree. I don’t need my posts to look like my spam comments folder, which is basically this: http://puu.sh/CYn8

  3. i hope someone comes to your house, rapes your anus with a chainsaw, writes your name, address and parents’ names in blood on your naked butt, takes a picture of all that info and uploads it to the internet, so that everyone in the world will know who you are and where to come butt rape you if they want

  4. I like how you put the whole ‘communist [leaders] equal oppressor’ becoz the whole lot of communist or pseudo communist states are firmly headed towards oppression. Communism is only good for the leaders, who ironically get rich from international (i.e. external) point of view. Information control plus oppresive stuff becomes key in deceiving the people to make then think ‘is all good our country, all others are all wrong’, mandatory vacation to Miami and Orlando for the leaders included.

Chances are, communism will never turns out the way it was first intended (Marx) for 2 reasons: implies the elimination of the state (what leader would do that? they are hypocrites); and its (according to evidence) non natural for societies, as societies tend to organize on a market economy (this does not implies capitalism per se, witch is a broader term). So no, i dont think communism is the way to go, even remotely.

what i do think is the way to go, is the so called Minarchism, as in ‘minimal statism’ why? becoz states have proven to be incredibly idiotic for most thinks they do. a quick look on History whould tell us most of the problems recorded have a common root cause on the State. My main concern here is economy: the most state intervention on economy, the worst it works, aka the society suffers. The more state there is, the less freedom in all levels. as such i think the State should be concern with physical and judiciary security, plus a few regulatory anti exploitation and anti monopoly.

    • “The more state there is, the less freedom in all levels.”

Yeah, because America’s deregulated free market definitely has not lead to control of your society by corporations and the subversion of the democratic system into oligarchy.

Or is it possible to run for any kind of public office in your country without literally millions (at the lowest levels) or billions (at the highest levels) of dollars? Most of which, I might remind you, is supplied by corporations. Do you think it is freedom when your moronic financial system takes advantage of extreme deregulation and lack of government control to wreck your entire economy by gambling more money than they have on high-risk derivatives, then is able to demand huge taxpayer bailouts, increase executive compensation, and suffer no consequences for their actions simply because the aforementioned lack of government control has already allowed them to buy the allegiance of every one of your politicians?

Also, you provide no backing for your statement that societies tend to organize “on a market economy.” Your propaganda-influenced perception is not reality.

The one-two punch to your infantile views, of course, is a simple examination of other societies around the world, something you could hardly expect an inward-looking American to do on his own. Sweden, Norway, Finland, and Switzerland, to name just a few, all have far more government control of their economies than America, and yet they are all freer of prejudice, more democratic, happier, more stable, and better in education. The only good thing about America is its universities (thanks to the massive funding they receive from the government), but even they have begun to sacrifice intellectual integrity in favour of maximizing profits and entrenching their self-serving, pseudo-corporate bureaucracies.

Government should, to put it simplistically, get out of the bedroom and into the boardroom.

      • If i was referring to a particular state when I said: big states are not desirable, it was the USA. The USA state is a big bloated giant, and the bigger you are, the harder you are to manage and the more resources you demand from your citizens.

Also the economy in the USA is not even close to a market economy. it is classified as ‘mixed-economy’ as in: the state plays a big role (for usa arround 50%) on directing the economy and impose heavy regulatory on it.

No, its not possible to run public office without money, but again, the smaller the state, the less money (i.e taxes) you need. The USA state is so big that it amasses around a quarter of the GPD. also, most of the taxes does not come from corporations, but from the general (working) population, this derives on detrimental of the society as a whole. And again, this ‘big taxes’ can be avoided on a minimal-state. Also, your wording on the ‘financial system’ puts the blame on the wrong cause. The blame is to be put on the fiat money system; in the USA it is issues by The FED, in others countries the State itself issue it, but in they both come to the same problems you have mentioned. All consequence of the ability of producing money out of thin air, and misusing that power, deriving in inflation and other economic deviations. (take note also, than the USA banks are one the most regulated on earth).

no, i dont provide backing on ‘societies tend to organize “on a market economy.” ‘ becoz its obvious and inherent to the human nature. And my information comes from reading, not mainstream media. And certainly not political babbling.

In your next paragraph you disqualify me out of ignorance. First, im not a USA citizen and dont live in the states. the four States you mentioned are low population countries, wich in turn are easier to maintain. Sweden, Norway, Finland are mixed economies oriented to exports, the state intervene in ‘key sectors’ of the economy (such as healtcare) but they are still capitalist by all definitions. Switzerland have one of the best GPD per capita on the world, and guess what? overwhelming private sector dictates the economy. And it features one the the lower tax rates in the world.

The government should be on bedroom but with both eyes open.

  5. I only cut out spam comments and there were two or three times when I just could not help correcting some stark grammar error. I believe that freedom of speech comes first no matter what.

Though I understand those blogs who put up tight comment policy that they feel uncomfortable dealing with…very negative/hateful comments. Easy solution exists; write the post in such a way that does not inspire hateful comments or just make funny reply.

  6. I only have the moderation feature active to catch spam. Other than those I approve everything, because I find it funny as feck to have negative comments

  7. Yes, I’m a dictator, big deal. All I ask is that if you hate me or the stuff I talk about, make sure you write more than just “this show sucks” or more recently, “Shit”.

  8. Yeah I concur. I mean just getting a comment shows your article/story/rant was even WORTH someone’s time to even post something about it. If we’re talking about voting up or down, that’s another matter that pisses me off, but negative comments? I welcome them. Definitely opens the floor for heated/involved discussion.

  9. Cheek-asshole hentai is now being made, THANKS TO YOUR CAPITALIST PIG FREEDOM OF SPEECH!

“This country and every other country sucks.”
    yes
