Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu = Series Review

A+….wait, that’s not how I grade! Uhhh… time.

Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu

Well, well, well. Another show down. It feels good when you finish a show and add it to your list of shows that you completed. It feels even better when this task was essentially accomplished in one sitting. Such is the case with Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu. I had previously watched 2 episodes, and then thought, “This show is kind of dull, considering the great potential of the plot, I think I’ll catch up on One Piece and Naruto Shippuuden (about 100 episodes combined…..I did that shit too bitch).” After I had completed said tasks, I thought, “Maybe I’ll look back into this here show.” I followed through, and then completed said show. The only reason I chose to watch this show was because of a post on ZOMG anime about how a second season is cumming coming, which I am very excited about. But enough about me, let’s ask me how I liked this show.

Premise: Like any story, this one begins with a girl (that’s from some movie that I like but I can’t remember which one…hell I don’t even know if I like it, but I’ve seen it). Anyway, this girl’s name is Nogizaka Haruka, seen above. She is, essentially, perfect. All of the students in the school look up to her as if she was the reason for living. She’s very smart, very nice, the best piano player in the world (apparently), and beautiful, not to mention rich as FUCK. Where are these types of girls in my life? I don’t want to fucking work. If-so-fact-o and vice-versa, She has a dark, dirty, secret. This secret is so bad, malicious, and dastardly, that she keeps it hidden, a locked up obsession that eats at her very core. Then, one day, her obsession is discovered by fellow peer, Yuto Ayase. What is this horrible secret? She likes is obsessed with anime. How does this happen? She is in the library taking out an anime, when she runs into Ayase, knocking both her and the anime catalog or whatever it was backward. Ayase picks up the book, looks at Haruka, and then Haruka freaks and runs away. He eventually gives it back to her, and says that her secret is safe with him, and that he doesn’t think any less of her for liking being obsessed with anime. From that point on, it’s pretty clear that Haruka wants his cock. Does she get it? You’ll have to watch. To rephrase: the main plot = Ayase must make sure no one discovers Haruka’s secret or demons will rape them all.

Pros (bullets FYI)

  • The animation is very good, but I’m putting much less emphesis on animation now a days, unless it totally sucks and makes me kill someone, which won’t ever happen because I bottle my anger and keep it locked away.
  • The characters… know what….I’m sick of doing reviews like this. Time to change it up a bit….

Super Review 2.0!

Watch this show if you like:

  • Anime (duh)
  • Fanservice – There’s a lot, some of it’s funny, most of it’s pointless.
  • A show with a good plot that gets better as it progresses, with new characters added when needed and leaves you glad that you wasted (12 episodes x 24 minutes each) at your computer.

Don’t watch this show if you want to see:

  • Porn…sorry, no porn here.
  • Bloody, violent, action anime….this is….well I guess this is comedy/romance? Maybe slice of life too, although I wouldn’t say that.
  • Sesame Street. As said before, the title of this show is Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu.

Top 3 Characters (in order):

Hazuki Sakurazaka

Akiho Nogizaka

Haruka Nogizaka

Worst 3 Characters (in order):

All of the non-mentioned or cameo-characters….there’s a shit-load of characters that haven’t gotten involved. Hopefully they do in the second season. If not, I will read the manga, because this show is one of those shows.

One thing that made it awesome:

The realization of love and love and love When they broke the 4th wall that one time.

One thing that could have been/made it better:

A Nabeshin appearance would have really been great in the episode where they go to that huge ass anime convention (Comiket).

Thusly, because this anime was complete, covered several areas, and was generally enjoyable, I dub thee, Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu, with a

This concludes Super Review 2.0. I hope you choke on a dildo. Goodnight.

  1. I’d like to give you tips for how to write a review, but I really don’t know. How do you write one?? There are reviews that don’t spoil shit and then reviews that spoil everything. So I guess it depends on what kind of review you’re trying to write. HOLY SHIT I JUST NOTICED YOU HAD A POST ALMOST EVERY DAY IN MARCH 09! HOLY SHIT!

I guess I need to read something, write a review, and then tell you how to do it. Except don’t because that is how I write reviews.
