Good or bad? I can’t tell, all I can say is that it kind of reminds me of D. Gray Man, which isn’t a good sign. This one is gonna be a wait and see show, but I think I already have the whole solution.
In this first episode, Gil finds a watch, and suddenly finds himself in a room with a girl. The girl suddenly tries to kill him. This girl needs a hug. I can already tell that Gil is somehow gonna end up with said sadistic girl, who has several deep routed problems and could use some counseling.
I’ll watch this show, but until I get a few episodes deeper, and the plot is revealed, I don’t know what to expect. How did you like my very “in depth” analysis of the first episode? I really put a lot of time into writing this post…..
I have always said that The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya was, while good, a bit overrated, but the 5 minute long episodes that have been coming out recently have changed my mind entirely.
Even though these episodes are short, and animated differently (they remind me of Lucky Star A LOT), the characters are still awesome. Dare I say, better? Through just these short flicks, the following has happened:
- I have realized that Nagato is one of the awesomest characters ever.
- I have realized that Haruhi is loaded with awesome characters.
- I want the new season of Haruhi to come out NOW.
This wasn’t a long post, I just wanted to let everyone know that they need to watch this now. They’re actually on youtube in great quality, when watching them, it really brought me back to the good old days of anime on youtube. (reminisces) sigh~….if you can’t somehow find them there, download the torrents….(Shamisen subs).
It’s only 2 episodes, but I literally laughed through the entire thing.
Here’s some things that it parodies/contains/makes fun of:
- Dragonball Z
- Chinese People
- Sex Again
- Breaking the 4th Wall
- Mixing Animation With Real Life
- Balls (both testicles and actual balls)
- Ridiculous Super Powers That Accomplish Nothing
I have realized that I could put really any type of noun in the previous list, and it would probably work, because this show crosses all lines and covers all genres and angles. It’s literally the best piece of random crap ever, and I thank God for it.
Here are 2 pictures that touch on some things I listed/didn’t list:
The second episode is really perverted (there’s a lot of little things that you don’t really notice, like when Poemi is dreaming about K and kissing him (she kisses a horse), there are two people behind the tree having sex and it’s hilarious. (They’re like….stick figures). I think that [the pervertedness] makes it 4 times more funny then the first episode, not to mention the way that Kobayashi/Poemi talks with out ever stopping to pause exactly like the way Excel talks in Excel Saga, who she also happens to play and which happens to be by the same directer Wantanabe aka NABESHINNNN!!!!!!
