That was an easy watch. A quick, easy watch. It literally took me no time at all to finish:
Spice and Wolf

Hooray, my wordpress isn't fucking up anymore! I can actually put pictures in when using Mozilla Firefox! Rejoice!
Considering that the show was so short, I figure the review shouldn’t be too long in length either. Therefore, this won’t be very long as far as reviews come, unless I fill it with bullshit sentences like this one.
Premise: A Wolf-God (Horo) has pretty much been tossed aside, and is no longer needed by her village to look after the wheat crop, as humans have learned to produce good wheat crop without her help. Therefore, she turns into her human form, and joins up with Lawrence Craft, a merchant, in order to journy up North to where she was born. Horo has wolf ears and a tail in her human form, which she has to keep hidden from the Church, because as we know, the Catholic Church is fucking gay, and accuses everyone of being a heretic. At least they were, that’s why I don’t particularly care for the Catholic religion. No I’m not basing my veiws of Catholics on this or any other anime, and yes, I am getting completely off topic.
The Good:
- Horo, proved to be an awesome character: She has a cool tail/ears, she has witty remarks, she has heightend senses, and she’s just generally awesome. the whole Horo X Lawrence thing works out big-time as well.
- Seiyu were awesome: Jun Fukuyama (Code Geass: Lelouche) and Ami Koshizimu (Lucky Star: Kagami) were super as usual.
The Bad:
- There wasn’t much I didn’t like. I feel like the main focus of this anime was Horo and Lawrence, and their whole deal, and their travels etc. I felt that sometimes it was a little slow, but overall I was pretty pleased with it.
The Ugly:
- I didn’t notice any animation mishaps. Everything was done well. I will say this, some of the merchant explainations felt a little rushed. Maybe I’m just not cut out to be a merchant…
Overall, I enjoyed this show. It didn’t blow me away or anything, but it was a good watch, and when you can breeze through an anime without getting side tracked, then you know it’s good. I didn’t realize how much I’ve missed marathoning a show. Watching shows week to week is kind of a new thing that I just picked up, and I have found that I lose interest a lot easier in a show when I don’t marathon it. Luckily I waited for Kurokami and Sora wo Kakeru Girl to catch up, so now I can watch those in beautiful marathonation style, as I like them.
As for Spice and Wolf, I liked it, and it was a very well made anime. Horo rules as a character and I’d like to give it a
FINAL GRADE = 5*
EDIT: After a day, Ive realized that I can’t stop thinking about this show, and that I want more really bad. Sometimes it takes a day or two for a series to really set in with me, especially when I marathon a series. The more time goes by, the more I seem to crave new episodes. Therefore, I’m upping the grade to a
