Top EDs of Spring 09

I made this as a draft when I put out my Top OPs of Spring, but never got around to posting it, and forgot about it. Then I found it. If you are reading this, then you might be able to view my top EDs of the Spring season, but that only if you read the full post.

To reiterate my set up, I don’t necessarily take the top 5 or so, I just take all of the ED’s that are worthy of being talked about, and stamp them with this shit:

Song Rank. Anime Title – Band/Singer Name: Song Name

That’s how I display them. For the record, I love OPs, but EDs usually aren’t as good in my opinion. Here’s all the ones that actually don’t suck.

6. Pandora Hearts – Savage Genious: Maze

I don’t know if the name is right, but I used to just not listen to this song. Then one day I did. It’s a great ED. Great great great. I don’t have much to say about EDs, really. Either they’re good, or they aren’t. Pandora Hearts is one of the best shows of the season, and the OP is not really that great (says me), but the ED is awesome.

5. Higashi no Eden – School Food Punishment: Futuristic Imagination

Higashi no Eden knows how to make great OPs and EDs, apparently. The OP is the best of the Spring (fact). And the ED is pretty damn good too. Nice.

4. Natsu no Arashi! – Ryoko Shiraishi: Kirari Futari

Starts off with that “surfer” kind of music, and then gets great. SHAFT = GREAT. Nothing more to say.

3. Hayate no Gotoku!! – Shizuka Ito with Eri Nakao, Sayuri Yahagi, & Masumi Asano: Honjitsu, Mankai Watashii Iro!

So what’s so great about this ED? Well besides the fact that it’s centered around Hinagiku, who should be a lesbian, The two double-takes in the beginning are retardedly stupid, in an awesome kind of way. Also, the song is pretty damn cool. Also, it’s fuckin Hayate, great fuckin show.

2. K-ON! – Sakurakou K-ON bu: Don’t Say “Lazy”

K-ON = Good Music, Poor Actual Show

Despite what I believe to be a poorly animated ED, I still give it the two spot because it’s got a damn good song. Hey, fuck you okay?

1. Asura Cryin’ – Angela: Link

Maybe the best ED ever. How can you listen to this and not be like, hypnotised by it’s tremendous awesomeness, and amazingly stunning singing. Especially when the drums kick in and it becomes a powerful explosion of a song. I downloaded it, because it was so good (I didn’t really, but I want to, and once I find it, I’m getting it, and blasting it daily).

And that’s not all. The animation is rather simple, but couldn’t be better to fit the song. Awesome colors in the sky. I love it. Angela is outstanding as a singer.

Did I miss anything? (I only judged from shows I actually watch this time, because I’m a lazy piece of [fecal matter])

FUCKING END

Denpa Teki na Kanojo OVA 1: Final Review

Denpa Teki na Kanojo (Electric Girlfriend) is a 41 minute OVA, and it’s awesome. The only bad thing about it is that I wish they had made it into a series, not an OVA. Basically, it was awesome, and I now recommend it to everyone ever.

Denpa Teki na Kanojo (Electromagnetic Girlfriend)

This was awesome.

I’ve had this draft made for like a month. First of all, thanks to Mikotoism for bringing this anime to light for me.

Premise: Basically, this kid, who’s kind of a delinquent (Juu) is suddenly approached by some girl (Ochibana) who tells him that she will be his servant, because she was in a past life (and he was apparently a king). He dismisses it as craziness, which it might be, but he girl is awesome. Her hair covers her face and she’s awesome. Another girl (who’s name I forget, but is visible in the above picture) apparently likes him (other girl in the picture), and while all of this is going on, there are murders going on all over. Where people are being killed and  strung with wire. When Juu finds one of his friends dead in an alleyway, he seeks to find out who is doing these murders, and apparently his “servant” has some kind of connection.

Thoughts: God this was good. I wish it was longer and more drawn out, like the length of a short series or long OVA series. But it’s still awesome to say the least. The characters are sick, the plot is awesome, and it features crazy bitches and blood. If you like Higurashi, this is similar. There’s still two more OVAs due out, but I don’t think that they’re related, although that’s just what I read. If I were to give it a final grade I’d say it’s a 5^^. It was really sick, and I’ve watched it twice.

I think I downloaded it from boxtorrents, but if not, I know that it’s subbed by Ayako.

K-On 11: Sawako Sells Porn Now

Hell yes:

Here, look at Mio's panties!

Here, look at Mio's panties!

Fuck yea you did, now you're horny.

Fuck yea you did, now you're horny, you closet lesbian.

Wow. K-On might be the best show ever. I mean, Mio definitely rocks. DID YOU SEE HER IN THIS EPISODE? NOTICE THE POWER! Not to mention, this episode had SO MUCH MORE to offer than the previous episodes:

I'm surprised that the writers though of adding "eating sweets" to the already large range of plot devices (correct wording?)

Man, this show just surprises me to know end! Another BAM moment for having “surprise tea and crumpets.” But the surprises don’t end there! Take the character, Yui, for example. For the most part, she has been seen as one of the smartest characters in the show, she does well in school, and is always ready to sneak in a snide or witty remark. Most of the other characters look up to her for advice when they have problems, but in this episode, they flipped the script, and showed us a side of Yui that we have rarely seen:

UNBELIEVABLE! UNFATHOMABLE! UNFIXABLE!

UNBELIEVABLE! UNFATHOMABLE! UNFIXABLE!

Sawako Sensei is the same:

PLEASE DON'T SAY YOU ARE LAZY! DA Dum da something CRAZY!

PLEASE DON'T SAY YOU ARE LAZY! DA Dum da something CRAZY!

As far as episodes go, this was one of the most action packed ones so far (sadly, this is actually true).  I mean, Yui gets her guitar fixed, which was totally awesome, and it also turns out that Ritsu is lesbian all over Mio.

Jeaslosy is one of the Seven Deadly Sins you know.

Jeaslosy is one of the Seven Deadly Sins you know.

Lol. Too bad Ritsu is the stupidest character in K-ON. I hate her. She’s not awesome at all. Then Ritsu turns emo and gets all depressed and shit. What a stupid character. The fact that she’s  central figure in this episode, and goes through emotional changes definitly doesn’t make me like her.

After this happens Sawako explains that Mio needs to munch on Ritsu’s chuff, or else Ritsu will order a really large meal, and then fall into heavy metal, which I guess is bad?:

Ritso definitely isn't made cooler by this.

Ritso definitely isn't made cooler by this.

Anyway, this episode contained a lot of the usual intense drama, which is in every episode anyway, so it’s no big deal. Oh, and it turns out that Ritsu just had a cold. What a whore.

NOTE OF FACTUAL OPINIONS WHICH ARE FACTS:

This whole post was obvious sarcasm. Ritsu is actually the best character, and this episode was actually pretty good, although in general, this series is no where near as good (to me) as other people give it credit.

I don’t get how I liked Lucky Star, but don’t feel the same way about K-ON. They’re like carbon copies of each other. It’s probably because of the lack of a certain blue-haired character.

By the way, I still never actually finished watching that To LOVE-Ru OVA, even though I wrote a review on it. I’m a fucking cheater (I had like 4 minutes left).
