Wild and Crazy Kids was a show from my youth. It was awesome, but has almost nothing to do with this post (it kid of does though, seeing as I talk about characters). Wait…was that Cuba Gooding Jr. hosting this show? Couldn’t be…..looks like him though.
Holy shit it’s Cuba Gooding Jr.’s brother. WOW. Learn something new everyday…they should do a movie together.
So I guess instead of melonbread, we have momoman:
The comparisons to Shakugan no Shana keep getting more and more similar and I keep liking this anime more and more. And just for shits and giggles here’s another comparison:
In SnS, we have a love triangle (more like a semi-circle) between flat chested tsundere (main), the male lead, and a large boobed girl. Both girls liked the male lead, but the tsundere had a much closer relationship with him, based on their unique relationship and the amount of time spent with each other. They also lived together for a time.
In HnA, we have a love triangle (more like a semi-circle) between a flat chested tsundere (main), the male lead, and a large boobed girl. Even though it hasn’t really been confirmed, I’m sure that both will end up liking the male lead, but the tsundere will have a closer relationship with the male lead based on their unique relationship and the amount of time they spend with each other. They also live[d?] together for a time.
However, when talking about the big boobed “third wheel/girl with no real shot to ever end up with the male lead,” I’d say that Shirayuki has a bit more to offer than Yumeka (SnS). I mean, she’s crazy absurd as a character.
Shirayuki might be the only “Third wheel/girl with no real shot to ever end up with the male lead” that I actually like. She’s absurd, and is filled with a strange mix of jumbled personality traits that just show up all over the place. However, unlike similar characters like Mio, she still manages to keep a constant personality throughout the show (so far). That is due to her airheadedness. Her airheadedness allows for he personality to fly off in random tangents. Or maybe I’m just bias against Mio. Then there’s Aria, the tsundere.
Well….I guess technically, Aria isn’t really a tsundere. As Kinji says, she’s more of a pest. Of course, I still love watching her. She’s one of the funniest Rie Kugimiya characters I’ve seen, seeing as she’s a complete nut-job.
I really like everything about this show. I missed the real Rie. It’s good to have her back.
